Enjoy and let me know what you think!!

Did you know that your cell phone, laptop, iPad, or anything that has wireless frequencies can be causing more harm to your body than you know?

On today's podcast episode, I have Daniel DeBaun talking all about EMF dangers and protection. EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) and EMRs (electromagnetic radiations) are interchangeable terms, so you might hear one or the other used, but know they mean the same thing.

One thing that a lot of people misunderstand is that there is actually a lot of research about EMFs and how they can cause harm to our bodies. I love that we go into this a bit in the episode because it is so important to know that the sheilds are based off research and not just a feeling that harm can be caused.

I hope you don't feel overwhelmed by this episode. EMF's are a big deal, yet are also a little tricky because we live in a total tech immersed society. Don't feel like you need to live and move out onto land off the grid to protect yourself. We talk a lot about some great tips to help with EMF's and learn to shield yourself.

Check out the episode and let me know what you think! I can't wait to hear from you!

Today I am talking all about bloating on the podcast and how to minimize it.

This might sound a little strange, but the gut is an amazing part of our body. It's sometimes referred to as the 2nd brain because it does so much in regulating our body. Our body (the gut) sends us signals and we need to be able to trust them. If our gut is off, then it is impossible to be able to tell if our body is being truthful.

Something that a lot of people don't know is that you cannot solve gut issues with food alone. Food sensitivities are huge, but you could also have a gut infection or not enough good bacteria.

This podcast is NOT medical advice, nor is it full of practical advice. I just really wanted to give you some things to think about and to be inspired to take some action on healing your body. Take a listen and let me know what you think!

Meal planning has become such a hot topic lately. We know that it can save us time and money in a practical sense, but have you ever thought about WHY you meal plan and how it can be biblical and help you serve your family well?

My good friend Natasha Red is on the podcast with me today discussing just this! Her heart and mission is meal planning and how it can relieve unnecessary stress and improve relationships!

Natasha created a Seasonal Meal Planner to help busy moms be more intentional about their time so they can serve their family in a calm and loving manner. When you think about food, it's not just fuel for your body, it also is something that brings us joy and comfort. It's a way for us to love people.

This podcast is a bit longer than most, but it is so so good! Check it out and let me know what you think!

Welcome back to another episode of Ask Dr. Meghan! Today we are talking all about safer skincare and how it is SO important to take good care of your skin!

Did you know that everything you put on your skin is absorbed into the body? This means that if you are using skincare products full of chemicals, those are getting into your precious body, or your baby's body.

By taking small, simple steps you can reduce your body's toxic load, which does amazing things!

Check out all there is in this week's episode! I am unpacking the why it is important as well as how to help three different skin types.

We all know we need sleep, probably more than we are getting. But guess what? We often don't spend enough time prioritizing it or let sleep haphazardly happen (or not happen).

I've been there for sure! But guess what? On average we need 7-9 hours of sleep per night. And if we get that amount of sleep we are more productive. Burning the candle at both ends doesn't actually work. You can be more productive when you sleep more, pretty awesome, right?

In this episode you'll learn my three tips for getting better sleep and how to take action on them today!

Exercise intensity and frequency is something that can be debated.  How much exercise is too much? How intense should your workout be? My answer is something that might make some of you really happy (or maybe not so happy!)

I think exercise and moving your body is very important, but there is such thing as too much exercise.  I believe the majority of the fitness industry is making us think we should be working out a lot more than we actually should.

In this episode I am dishing out 10 tips to help you figure out an exercise regimen that works best for your body, and how to know if you are OVER training and what to do about it.

When you are exercising, it's not just about the moves or the reps that you are doing DURING the workout. It is also about the recovery AFTERWARD. When you workout for an hour each day, you are doing so much more damage to your body when you don't recover.

Something you may find surprising is I don't actually believe we can live a TRULY non-toxic lifestyle.

Ottava and I were going to eat breakfast on our patio one beautiful morning and that's when it hit me. The smell of dryer sheets. The smell of toxins! Toxins I didn't ask for...

This event inspired me to do a Facebook Live in my group, as well as this podcast episode all about taking intentional steps to reduce toxic exposure.

Welcome back to Ask Dr. Meghan! You guys are submitting such amazing questions through email and the facebook group! In today's episode I'm going to be answering questions about what brand of activated charcoal I use, my honest thoughts on antibiotics, and tips for dealing with Candida.

Emotions. We all have them, and sometimes they get the best of us. They range from a moment of frustration all the way to an emotional pattern of feeling anxious and frazzled all the time.

I've been there. You've been there. We've all been there!

In this episode I discuss a broad overview of different strategies for supporting your emotions from a natural perspective.

Even though emotions aren't openly talked about, it is OKAY if you're not feeling your best or you don't have it all together. (We are not immune from experiencing emotions or feeling unbalanced with them!)

I could spend hours digging into supporting your emotions naturally, but because I love this topic so much, this episode is already longer than normal. I hope you enjoy!

Healthy eating is something that can be super challenging in our busy world, and I've often talked about how hard it can be on this podcast.

Actually, the majority of my podcasts are centered around how to eat healthy or healthy meal planning!

In this episode I am digging in and sharing all my best tips to help you prepare your home and kitchen for eating healthy.

I created this podcast because I want you to feel like your home is a place where you can fuel your body well, eating foods you enjoy that are full of nutrients, and free of the temptation of gluten or sugar (because we all know those leave us feeling less than our best!)

Intermittent fasting (or ditching breakfast as I call it!) is a hot topic right now. There's a lot of research behind the idea and I'll be the first to admit it can be a bit detailed and overwhelming to know where to start.

In this podcast I break down intermittent fasting into the simplest way I can. I go through the benefits of intermittent fasting, the downsides, and who should (and shouldn't) try intermittent fasting.

Since I had Ottava Ella I've gotten a lot of questions about what I feed her and what my baby feeding philosophy is. Aside from questions about her actual birth, these are the most common ones! This episode is a pretty organic conversation about why we choose to feed Ottava grain-free and some of the thoughts I had when deciding what to feed her, and when.

Jun 20, 2017

This is a topic that is a little more out of the ordinary for the podcast. It is not going to be relevant to all of you, but I think it's going to be an episode that is shared a lot because it covers a topic that isn't talked about enough. When I did a quick search on other tongue and lip tie podcasts, there are a few - but how about we throw one more in the mix?!

Jun 13, 2017

This is the second installment of my new podcast segment "Ask. Dr. Meghan" and I am loving answering your questions about simplifying healthy living.

I think it's such a fun and personal way to connect with you, my loyal, wonderful listeners, and continue providing the kind of content that you want to hear.

In today's episode, here are the questions that I'll be answering and unpacking:

  1. "Do I have to worry about Fluoride in Kombucha?" - Betty

  2. "What is in my version of a healthy first aid kit?" - Diane

  3. "Did you eat grain free during pregnancy? I've heard a keto diet isn't safe for pregnancy, but not sure if that's based on any research." - Julie

If you're curious to know the answers to these questions, be sure to tune into this week's episode!
