Living in today's fast-paced culture where we are bombarded with a million different options, opportunities, and decisions to make each day, it can be hard to find a good balance between saying YES to the life we want, without running ourselves ragged.

 

In this episode I'm sitting down to chat with Rachel Green, a city girl turned farmer's wife who has grown to love and cherish slow living, abut how we can find balance in the busy and create lives we love.

 

For the past six years Rachel has been serving women who want more from life - who want freedom to do what they love and live the life they dream of living too.

 

Through intentional business development, valuable education and resources, and a place of community, she is wholeheartedly devoted to giving women that dream and helping them pursue their passions.

 

She doesn't claim to have it all figured out - she's in the middle of it, just like you! But she strives to live her life for what really matters and take time to enjoy each day as it comes.

 

As a small business owner, wife and mother, she knows firsthand that it's hard to draw the line between our work and the rest of our lives. But, she believe that we can.

On this episode of Ask Dr. Meghan I am unpacking a big question. Elizabeth is basically asking what is the difference between Candida, parasites, SIBO, and gut dysbiosis.

 

Whew! It's a great question and one I am not really going to be able to answer because every body is so very different and requires an individualized treatment plan. 

 

Yeast overgrowth treatment fact vs fiction. Same for SIBO, gut dysbiosis, or maybe compare/contrast these conditions. There's so much conflicting info out there, it can be overwhelming. -Elizabeth

This may be a repeat for those of you who know all about gluten. However, if you have not done a lot of research about gluten and going gluten free, then this will be the podcast episode for you!

 

As you will hear when you listen, gluten is a group of proteins in certain grains. It is also the cause of many, many reactions, including come autoimmune diseases, decreased brain functions, and also skin problems.

When we think of food, it can be scary to think that there are foods we are eating that help cause chronic inflammation and cancers. 

 

Did you know that chronic inflammation can be something as simple as a sore throat all the way to depression or an autoimmune disease?

 

Did you know that on 5-10% of cancers are related to genes?

 

This means that there are things we need to do to heal our bodies and tools/systems we need to develop to help fight mutated cells and hormones.

 

Today, I have Kim Maravich joining me to talk all about these foods and foods that can help PREVENT inflammation and cancer. I was a little nervous to interview Dr. Libby. Not because I didn't want to talk to her, but I really wanted this podcast to encompass all I've learned and she teaches about EMFs. This means a lot to me and I really think we were able to get the job done. I think this podcast could be your one stop shop for what to do to protect yourself and your family from EMFs.

Weight loss is something that is on a lot of people's "to-do" list. We all want to feel our best and want to be the weight we feel we should be at our healthiest. However, weight loss can be frustrating! We are bombarded by all sorts of ads and articles about diets, cleanses, pills, potions and lotions all guaranteeing to help you drop pounds (and often times all to quickly and not in a healthy way).

I'm going to be BOLD... I believe that it is important to invest in your health. And this episode we aren't going to talk about investing time. We are going to talk about investing MONEY.

 

Yep, this is a big doozy of a podcast season finale. I'm talking money and health and why YES... you should spend money on it.

 

This week I am talking about five main points:

  1. Instant gratification vs. long term investment
  2. Saves you money in the long run
  3. Living a natural lifestyle is more money, but is it a priority?
  4. It is okay to spend money on your health
  5. Keep educating yourself

 

I don't want you to feel bad about the decisions you have made in the past. Your body is an amazing thing and if you start investing in your health now, who knows what kind of illnesses and ailments you will be preventing!

Okay, my friends... It has taken me 59 episodes to get here, but I finally did it! Chiropractic care is my absolute passion and I get asked questions all the time about it. 

 

I am a HUGE believer that making small adjustments to your body allows our body to heal itself. I also believe that EVERYONE should be adjusted on a regular basis.

 

There are so many people who are nervous about going, or who go a couple of times and see no results. Well, it's just like when you get braces or train for a marathon.. You need to go for a while before you are able to see the benefits. But friend! If you DO go, the results will be amazing!! 

 

One thing I would like to add, is make sure you find a chiropractor who focuses on wellness as a whole. They will make sure to teach you about your body and how to allow it to heal properly.
